We have sent IFTA renewals to the state for all customers
who have sent us their payments. The Board of Equalization, the state agency responsible for IFTA in California, is
busy issuing credentials as you read this. 2012 credentials will only be issued to carriers whose accounts are in good
standing. This means that you must have filed returns for first, second and third quarters of 2011. If you have
not, your new credentials will not be issued until the returns have posted and reinstatement fees paid, if due.
Every
year the federal IFTA people issue a Credential Grace Period letter. This year is no different. The letter was
sent to all state agencies in November, and you do not need to keep a copy in your truck.
